Radiologic Technologist, Computed Tomography

Location

• Novi, Michigan

Contract

• 13 weeks
• 40 hours per week
• Schedule: 5x8s, every other weekend, 3:30 PM–12:00 AM

Work Setting

• Hospital, emergency department, inpatient, and outpatient areas
• May also work in an ambulatory mobile unit

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• ARRT (CT)
• BLS
• CT Technologist experience within the last year
• 2 years of CT Technologist experience
• Experience with GE equipment
• Experience with Phillips equipment
• Intravenous contrast media administration

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT and may also perform general diagnostic radiology exams
• Prepare patients and explain procedures
• Review clinical data and patient history as needed
• Set up equipment, operate the scanner, and administer IV contrast with power injectors
• Monitor patients for reactions and provide immediate care if needed
• Assist with sterile procedures and biopsies
• Follow radiation protection and dose-reduction practices
• Complete imaging documentation and study indexing in the radiology information system
• Resolve image exceptions and ensure image delivery in PACS

Additional Notes

• May be exposed to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and contagious patients
• May occasionally lift or move equipment or patients over 10 lbs
• Must maintain required continuing medical education hours
