Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Location

Fort Wayne, Indiana

Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule

12-hour night shifts
36 hours per week
3 out of 4 weekends required

Work Setting

Labor and delivery unit
Floating between two locations based on need
Care includes laboring patients, vaginal and cesarean deliveries, and couplet care

Required Qualifications

Active Indiana or compact RN license
2+ years of labor and delivery experience
2+ years of circulating C-section experience
BLS through AHA
ACLS through AHA
NRP
STABLE

Unit Details

Typically 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
May be 1:2 for early labor or induction
1:3 for couplet care

Additional Notes

Hospital-provided scrubs
Local travelers within 50 miles are subject to a reduced local rate
8 hours of non-billable orientation
Call-off or cancellation may occur up to 24 hours per 13-week assignment
