Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Dakota
• NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
• NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NRP
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with conventional ventilators (Draeger)
• Experience with high frequency ventilators (jet and oscillator)
• Nitric oxide experience
• Cool cap experience
• MedFusion pumps experience
• Smart pumps experience
• Spacelab monitors experience
• MAK medication system experience
• Accudose experience
• PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience

Schedule

• 12-hour day/night rotating shifts
• Every other weekend required

Unit Details

• 40-bed unit
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratios:

  • 1:1 to 1:2 for critical and intermediate infants
  • 3:1 for infants who are growing and feeding

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to neonates
• Assist with procedures including intubation, spinal taps, PICC line placement, IV starts, admissions
• Perform neonatal assessments and care for IVs, umbilical lines, CPAP, nasal cannula, oral and IV medications, OG and NG feedings, and G-tubes

Additional Notes

• Epic experience is highly preferred
• Candidates within 60 miles are not eligible
• Candidates within 60 to 80 miles are subject to a reduced local travel rate
