Physical Therapist (PT) - Illinois, Peoria

Job Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Setting: Inpatient hospital
• Coverage Areas: Orthopedics, neurology, trauma, post-surgical units; may include ICUs or general floors depending on candidate preference
• Shift: Days
• Hours: 3 shifts per week, 10 hours per day (must include Saturday and Sunday; third day flexible)
• Workweek: 30 hours

Required Qualifications

Education

• Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy required for those licensed after 2016
• Those licensed prior to 2016 are exempt from the doctoral degree requirement (grandfathered under prior licensure rules)

Licensure/Certification

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Illinois
• BLS issued by American Heart Association

Experience

• Physical Therapist (1 year of experience)
• Physical Therapist experience within the last year
• Experience in an Acute Care setting

Skills and Knowledge

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft software
• Ability to evaluate patients’ physical and functional status, establish therapy goals, formulate treatment plans, observe and document patient status
• Ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and treatment team members

Additional Information

• Must comply with a drug-free workplace policy and produce a negative drug screen for all panels
• Orientation includes 12 non-billable hours
• Local rate adjustments apply for clinicians living within 50 miles
• Call-off policy allows up to 12 hours off every 13 weeks without penalty
