Description

PACU RN

Location

Fargo, North Dakota

Contract

13 weeks
10-hour day shifts
40 hours per week
Rotating call
Occasional weekends and nights

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Dakota
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (2 years of experience)
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Heart Association
PALS issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Clinical Setting

PACU only; no pre-op
Cares for babies through geriatrics
Handles surgical specialty recovery, including ICU, Cath Lab, Endoscopy, and IR patients post-procedure
May float between campuses for Phase I PACU

Unit Details

18-bay Phase I PACU and 14-bay Phase I PACU
Nurse-to-patient ratio follows ASPAN standards: 1:1 or 2:1
Never alone

Additional Notes

Local candidates within 60 miles are not accepted
Candidates living 60 to 80 miles away are eligible at a reduced local travel rate
Interview times should be provided with submission
Manager will interview directly before offering
Hospital-provided scrubs
Basic hospital/unit orientation with a buddy RN
