Description
RN (Registered Nurse)
Location
- Peoria, Illinois
Contract
- 13 weeks
- 12-hour day shifts
- 36 hours per week
Unit
- Cardio Thoracic Unit
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
- BLS
- Ability to interpret EKGs
- Ability to titrate drips
- Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS
Schedule
- 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
- Every other weekend
- Holiday rotation
- No call or standby requirement at this time
Clinical Details
- Common patient types include MI, CHF, atrial fibrillation, COPD, pacemaker/AICD placement, lung surgery, esophagectomy, and general medical overflow
- Typical drip management includes Cardizem and heparin
- Float to other general medical units
Additional Information
- Local placements are accepted within a 50-mile radius
- Drug screen required
- Requested time off, last four digits of SSN, and clinician middle initial are needed for submission
- Non-billable orientation is 12 hours
- Scrubs may be any color except children’s/cartoon prints
