Registered Respiratory Therapist

Location

• Kingman, Arizona

Contract

• 13 weeks
• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour day shifts
• 3 shifts per week
• Some weekends
• No on-call required

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of a Respiratory Therapy program
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in Arizona, in good standing
• BLS through the American Heart Association
• ACLS through the American Heart Association
• Competent in both adult and pediatric care
• 2 years of experience preferred
• Experience educating patients with chronic lung conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• NRP
• PALS through the American Heart Association

Clinical Skills

• Medical gas and humidity therapy
• Airway management, including tracheostomy care
• Blood gas analysis
• Mechanical ventilation, invasive and non-invasive
• Patient assessment and monitoring
• Pharmacology
• Diagnostic testing
• EKG
• Pulmonary initial evaluation and assessment
• Documentation of patient assessment and therapy
• Team interdisciplinary conference participation

Work Setting

• Transitional respiratory care role supporting non-critical patients and advanced practitioners
• Opportunity to advance to adult critical care and Emergency Room responsibilities after competency completion

Additional Job Details

• Local candidates are not accepted; 50-mile radius restriction applies
• May be called off or canceled up to one shift per two weeks
• 12 hours of non-billable orientation
• Must complete orientation to general and critical care respiratory care
• Uses ventilators, BiPAPs, Metaneb, Airvo, and blood gas equipment
