RN (Registered Nurse)

Overview

• Specialty: Med Surg Neuro RN
• Location: Fargo, North Dakota
• Facility: Not included per privacy rules
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour day/night rotating schedule
• Hours per week: 36

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Dakota
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Med Surg (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• Experience in an Acute Care setting
• Neuro patient experience
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
• One completed travel assignment
• Experience with Epic

Work Setting

• 32-bed unit
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 4-5:1 on days, 6:1 on nights
• Primary unit is med-surg, with floating to any med-surg unit in Fargo as needed

Schedule Details

• Every other weekend and every other holiday
• May rotate between days and nights based on unit needs

Responsibilities

• Assessments
• Documentation
• Nursing tasks
• Medication administration

Additional Notes

• Cannot accept clinicians living within 60 miles of the facility
• Candidates living 60 to 80 miles away are considered local rate
• Navy blue scrubs
• Badge in and out required
• Prior employment with the same health system requires a 6-month gap before submission
