Location

• Peoria, Illinois

Contract

• 13 weeks
• 12-hour night shifts
• 36 hours per week

Unit Overview

• Medical-surgical acute care unit
• 18 beds
• Typical patient population includes general medical patients with various diagnoses

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• BLS certification
• 1+ year of hospital experience preferred

Schedule and Work Expectations

• Every other weekend required
• Holiday rotation required
• No call required
• May float to other units as needed
• May have patient assignment when serving as charge RN

Clinical Responsibilities

• Must titrate heparin drips
• Expected to attempt IV starts and use unit resources if unsuccessful

Unit Support

• 24-hour charge RN coverage
• 24/7 house supervisor
• 2 patient care techs per shift
• Remote telemetry monitoring
• 24/7 hospitalist/intensivist coverage
• 24/7 respiratory therapy
• 24/7 pharmacy support

Additional Notes

• Any scrub color allowed; staff provide their own scrubs
• No pediatric scrubs
• Negative drug screen required
• Local placements accepted within a 50-mile radius
• Local rate adjustment applies within 50 miles
• 12 hours of non-billable orientation
• Guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation
