Radiologic Technologist - Computed Tomography

Location

Novi, Michigan

Contract

13 weeks

Schedule

4x10s, 9p–7a, every other weekend

Setting

Hospital-based role serving ER, inpatient, and outpatient patients

Required Qualifications

• CT Technologist (2 years of experience)
• CT Technologist experience within the last year
• ARRT (CT)
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience with GE equipment
• Experience with Phillips equipment

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT and related diagnostic radiology procedures
• Prepare patients and explain procedures
• Review clinical data and obtain additional patient history as needed
• Administer IV contrast media and monitor for reactions
• Assist with sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies
• Follow radiation safety practices
• Complete imaging documentation and study indexing in PACS and RIS

Work Conditions

• May work in a fixed hospital unit or ambulatory mobile unit
• May be exposed to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and contagious patients
• May occasionally lift or move equipment or patients over 10 lbs

Education and Compliance

• Must maintain required continuing medical education hours
