Registered Nurse Job Summary

Location

• Uniontown, Pennsylvania

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Schedule

• Nights
• 12-hour shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Weekend shifts are required every other weekend
• Two Fridays per schedule are required

Unit Details

• Medical-surgical unit
• 29 beds
• Floating is limited to other medical-surgical units

Patient Population

• Primarily medical-surgical patients
• May include pneumonia, dialysis, palliative care, hospice, end-of-life, and low-volume inpatient chemotherapy
• May care for both “clean” and “dirty” patients at the same time
• Remote telemetry patients may be present, but there are no monitors on the unit

Required Qualifications

• BLS certification
• Must be comfortable caring for patients on both clean and dirty hallways
• Must disclose any hits on professional license at time of submission
• Must submit a copy of an unexpired driver’s license
• Must be within a 50-mile radius

Clinical Support / Workflow

• One shift of orientation with a preceptor
• Self-scheduling and blocked schedules are allowed if unit needs are met
• No CNA support on nights

Additional Clinical Notes

• No cardiac drips
• Heparin and morphine sulfate may be used for comfort measures
• BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen are managed by respiratory therapy
