IMC/Tele RN - 3N Cardiac/Tele/Dialysis

Location

• Marshfield, Wisconsin

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Schedule

• 12-hour nights
• 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend
• Every other holiday
• No self-scheduling
• Block scheduling may be available if it meets unit needs
• Fri/Sat/Sun option is available

Unit / Department

• 3N MS/IMC RN
• 29 beds
• 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio on days through 2300
• 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratio on nights after 2300

Patient Population / Clinical Focus

• Cardiac medical and surgical patients
• Post cath lab patients, including stent, pacemaker, ICD, watchman, mitral clip, and TAVR
• Post cardiac surgery patients, including CABG and valve replacements
• A-fib, chest pain, CHF, arrhythmias, syncope, bradycardia, and temporary pacemaker patients

Required Qualifications

• RN
• ACLS
• BLS
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in a busy hospital environment
• Experience with post procedural cath lab patients
• Experience managing TR band compression devices
• Experience managing chest pain
• Experience with post cardiac surgical patients

Responsibilities / Unit Expectations

• RN titration of drips is required
• No vasopressors
• Common drips include nitroglycerin, heparin, diltiazem, amiodarone, Lasix, Bumex, and dobutamine
• RN is responsible for incentive spirometry
• Charge RN takes a modified assignment
• Floating as needed based on unit census
• All clinicians must clock in and out at the facility

Support Staff / Resources

• 24/7 central telemetry unit monitors all non-critical care patients and does the strips
• Nurse aides are present
• RT is available 24/7 and assists with CPAP, BiPAP, and Vapotherm (high flow)

Orientation

• 1 shift of HR onboarding
• 1 shift on the unit

Additional Notes

• No call or standby requirement unless it is an extra shift
• No scrubs provided
• If the clinician has ever worked for Marshfield, they must have an end date 6 months prior to submission
