Travel RN Med/Surg (Adult)

Overview

• Travel RN assignment in a 25-bed independent critical access hospital
• Primarily adult medical/surgical unit with occasional pediatric patients
• Broad scope of practice includes medical, surgical, observation, swing bed, outpatient, and occasional pediatric care
• Flex day/night rotation
• 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Opportunity to serve as Charge RN when needed and may be asked to act as a Preceptor

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Vermont
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 3 years of Med Surg experience
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• Experience in an Acute Care setting
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

• Charge RN experience
• Meditech experience

Assignment Details

• 13-week contract
• 36 hours per week
• Located in St Johnsbury, Vermont
• Rural setting in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom
• Public transportation is not available
• No local taxi services or ride-share options
• Nearest major airport is approximately two hours away
• Housing is not provided; local housing resources may be shared, but housing is at additional cost
