Women’s Care Unit RN
Location
- Peoria, Illinois
Contract Length
- 15 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois Nursing License
- ACLS
- BLS
- 2 years of MedSurg experience
- Experience with NG placement, foley placement, blood admin, heparin drips, insulin drips
- Must be able to titrate drips

Unit Details
- MedSurg Women’s Care Unit
- 18 beds
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5-6
- Common patient types include hysterectomy, mastectomy, postpartum patients (mom’s only), and general medical/surgical patients
- CPAP equipment on the unit
- No tele/monitor techs; RNs do not read strips
- May float to other general medical units
Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 36 hours per week
- Travelers fill the shifts with the greatest need
- 4 weekend shifts per schedule period
- Holiday rotation required
- No call or standby requirement
Additional Notes
- 1 shift of unit-specific orientation, with more if needed
- Scrubs of any color
- Drug screen required
- Submission requires the last four digits of SSN, middle initial, and requested time off
