Overview

• 13-week travel assignment in Nampa, Idaho
• 12-hour night shifts, 7p-7a
• Unit: Intensive Care Unit Nampa Hospital Flr 1
• 10 beds
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2

Required Qualifications

• RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• 1 year of experience
• Must be a good team player
• Must be able to titrate drips

Preferred

• First-time travelers accepted

Unit Details

• Common patient types include heart failure, respiratory failure, sepsis, vented patients, GI bleeds, strokes, TPA, post codes, PNA, and post-surgical patients when something goes wrong
• CRRT travelers will not take
• Common titratable or set-rate drips include Propofol, Levophed, Dobutamine, vasopressin, Fentanyl, Epinephrine, and Diltiazem
• Charge nurse does not take patients
• CNA support: 1 per shift
• Hospitalist on site 24/7
• Intensivist available via telehealth 24/7
• RTs in the ICU 24/7
• RT equipment includes vents, high flow, and Bipap
• No Tele techs; RNs are required to read strips
• Scrub color: any color as long as clean and professional
• Orientation: 1 to 2 shifts depending on experience

Floating

• May float to Tele, with a goal of 1:3 ratio but may take a full assignment
• May also float to Meridian and Boise ICUs

Scheduling

• Shifts may be blocked or grouped together
• Weekend coverage as needed
• Holiday coverage if needed
• No call or standby requirement

Additional Notes

• Radius rule of 50 miles applies for candidate address verification
