RN Cath Lab

Overview

• Location: Sioux Falls, South Dakota
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days, 4x10-hour varying shifts
• Department: Cath Lab
• Unit size: 8 fluoroscopy rooms, 2 procedural rooms
• Average volume: 30 patients per day
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:1

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in South Dakota
• Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
• 2 years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduation from an NLN or AACN accredited nursing program
• Bachelor's Degree in nursing

Clinical Duties

• Administer and monitor conscious sedation during procedures
• Circulate in a sterile environment
• Procedures include left and right heart catheterizations, PCIs, temporary and permanent pacemakers, ICDs, EP procedures, TEEs and cardioversions, venous ablations, and peripheral vascular angiograms

Schedule and Call

• On call: 1 call per week and 1 weekend every 3-4 weeks
• 30-minute response time
• May be placed on the mandate list to fill vacant call shifts

Orientation

• 4-6 shifts, depending on experience
• Focused on charting and physician equipment preferences

Additional Notes

• Scrubs: Ceil Blue provided
• Must badge in and out at the facility
• If the clinician has ever worked for Sanford Health, this must be noted in submission; prior employment requires an end date at least 6 months before submission
