Unit / Setting

• MedSurg Inpatient Rehab | RN
• 15 beds total: 13 single rooms and 1 double room
• Inpatient Rehabilitation Services

Required Qualifications

• BLS certification
• RN license
• Non-Oregon licensed RNs may be eligible for a 90-day temporary license if their permanent license is not posted before the assignment start

Preferred Qualifications

• MedSurg experience
• Inpatient Rehab Nursing experience

Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts
• Every other weekend required
• Management provides the schedule
• No block schedule or patterns

Clinical Details

• Typical patient ratio: 5 patients
• RN titration of drips is occasionally required
• Common drips include antibiotics; heparin drips may require titration, and blood infusions and IVIG may occur
• No telemetry on the unit
• Charge RN may take a modified assignment of 2-3 patients, and may take a full assignment if needed
• CNAs are staffed on the unit

Floating

• May float to the inpatient setting if overstaffed

Additional Notes

• 24/7 weekend coverage and 365-day holiday coverage are required
• 12 hours of non-billable orientation in the first work week
• Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving of 50+ lbs
• Professional scrubs in any color are allowed
