Description

Labor and Delivery RN

Overview

13-week travel assignment
12-hour shifts, nights
Unit: Womens Services Meridian Hospital Flr 3
10 L&D beds
2 OR suites for C-sections
4 triage beds
10 postpartum beds
About 120 births per month

Required Qualifications

RN
BLS
ACLS
NRP
Stable, taken at least once
AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring
L&D, postpartum, and circulating experience
Ability to titrate drips

Preferred Qualifications

Triage experience

Schedule

12-hour shifts: 7a-7p and 7p-7a
Weekends as needed
Holiday requirements based on unit needs
No call or standby requirement
Cannot work more than five shifts in a row

Float Scope

Float to like units within the valley, including Nampa L&D and Boise L&D
May also float as a sitter in MS or ED

Additional Details

AWHONN standards are primarily 1:1 in L&D and 1:6 couple care in postpartum
Blue scrubs provided on unit
Unit-specific orientation is typically 4-6 shifts
Charge RN, Resource RN, and House Supervisor are on each shift
OB hospitalist is in house 24/7
Neonatal NP is in house 24/7
CRNA is in house 24/7
