LDRP RN
Location
- Ketchum, Idaho
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- RN license
- BLS
- ACLS
- NRP
- STABLE
- 2 years of LDRP experience
- Newborn stabilization experience
- Comfortable working with OB in house and managing laboring patients autonomously and independently, especially nights and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced
Unit Details
- Women’s Services - LDRP - Flr 2
- 6 L&D beds in a secure unit
- 1 OR suite dedicated for C-sections
- 160 births per year
Clinical Responsibilities
- Work with laboring and postpartum patients
- Care for well baby and well mom
- Handle high-risk and critical patients
- Support postpartum, induction, hypertensive crisis, and hemorrhage protocol care
- Stabilize patients until transfer
- Serve as newborn nurse in C-sections
- Care for both mom and baby for the first couple hours after delivery
Scheduling
- 7-7 shifts
- Self-scheduling with core staff
- Weekends and holidays are equitably distributed with core staff
Float Scope
- Helping hands or safety attendant
- Must be comfortable floating for tasking as needed
- Not picking up shifts in other departments
Additional Notes
- 1 facility day of orientation, plus Epic orientation and 2 unit shifts
- Surgical scrubs are required in delivery; own scrubs may be worn otherwise

Tucked in the Rocky Mountains of south-central Idaho in the shadow of Sun Valley resort, Ketchum sprang forth in the late 1800s as a silver mining town. It still exudes Old West charms with cabin-style shops and historic buildings, but today it's mostly known as a place where residents are obsessed with the outdoors. Annual Wagon Days in early September brings the largest non-motorized parade in the Pacific Northwest to Main Street. It comes complete with marching bands, Basque dancers, western cowboys, wheels and wagons, concluding with a Street Party on Town Square.
