MICU RN
Overview
- Role: MICU RN
- Location: Salem, Massachusetts
- Employment type: LTA
- Schedule: 36 hours, nights and every other weekend
- Shift: 19:00 - 07:30
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Unit Details
- Unit name: Level III Trauma Center
- Unit size: 20-bed Medical/Surgical ICU
- Floating: Required, mostly to Medical/Surgical units
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- 2+ years of MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit experience
- Med Surg experience
- Must be able to read tele strips
- Telemetry competency
- AHA BLS
- AHA ACLS
Patient Population
- Adult patients with diagnoses including Substance Abuse/Overdose, severe Psychiatric conditions, DKA, Sepsis, GI bleed, Respiratory Failure, Cardiac Arrest, Renal Failure, and Cardiogenic Shock
Additional Notes
- RN-to-patient ratio: 1:2 or 1:1 with high acuity; 1:4 or 1:5 when floated
- Free on-site parking
