NICU Respiratory Therapist

Overview

• Contract role in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
• Straight nights, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
• The role is for a NICU Respiratory Therapist.

Required Qualifications

• Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU with 1 year of experience.
• Certified Respiratory Therapy - NICU experience within the last year.
• Respiratory Therapist experience.
• AWHONN.
• STABLE.

Role Responsibilities

• Performs and documents evaluations and patient assessments.
• Provides diagnostic and therapeutic treatment, physician assistance, patient education, family teaching, and support.
• Identifies significant changes in patient condition and takes appropriate action.
• Completes documentation, including order entry, verification, EMR charting, patient safety/incident variance reports, and equipment repair tags.
• Processes patient charges and runs/verifies reports as needed.
• Disassembles, cleans, assembles respiratory equipment, and performs preventative maintenance.
• Responsible for transport of infants to/from referral health systems.
• Provides high quality critical care in accordance with established patient care guidelines.
