IMU RN

Overview

13-week contract
Bridgeport, West Virginia
12-hour nights
36 hours per week

Unit Details

IMU
18 beds
Typical step-down type patients
Common diagnoses include post MI with sheath pull, ADHS, post-op vascular, GI bleed, and DKA

Required Qualifications

RN license
ACLS
BLS
NIHSS
Ability to titrate drips
Experience with telemetry
Experience with BiPap and Cpap

Unit Expectations

Ratios are 1:3
Tele is on all patients, and RNs read strips
One PCT per shift
Charge nurse and house supervisor are available; under normal circumstances, charge does not take a team
Weekend schedule is every other weekend
Holiday schedule is about every other holiday
No call or standby
Float PRN
Unit orientation is per the unit

Drips

Nitroglycerine up to 150 mcg/kg/min
Neo up to 100 mcg/min
Cardene up to 10 mg/hr

Dress Code

Royal scrubs
Undershirts may be white, royal blue, or black
