Location

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts: 7p-7:30a
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required

Unit Details

• MedTele 4East
• 28 beds, with potential to double rooms to 36
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4-5 days, 1:5 nights
• Charge nurse on each shift
• Tele monitor available 24/7
• Float scope includes 4West (MedSurg) and occasionally ICU for general overflow patients

Required Qualifications

• RN
• BLS
• Active IL license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• Negative drug screen for all panels
• Last four digits of SSN
• Clinician’s middle initial
• Requested time off

Preferred

• ACLS
• NIHSS

Clinical Notes

• Common patient types include CHF, diabetic, end of life, heart failure, medical patients, and some telemetry patients
• No titratable drips
• No vents
• Bipap and Cpap are monitored by RT
• Nurses are expected to monitor the tele monitors
• Navy blue scrubs
• Orientation is typically 2 shifts, with 3 considered
