Intermediate Care Unit RN

Overview

Role: Registered Nurse - Intermediate Care
Location: Utica, New York
Unit: IMCU
Shift: 6:30p-7a
Hours per week: 36
Contract length: 13 weeks
Start date: November 23
Local candidates: Accepted if within 75 miles

Required Qualifications

Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Valid RN license in New York
Intermediate Care (2 years of experience)
Intermediate Care experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Driver's License
Experience with Epic

Job Details

Floating required
EMR experience required: EPIC
Block scheduling is not promised or guaranteed
Patient population: Adults, ages 18+
Unit size: 64 beds, including 15 designated Neuro beds

Unit Clinical Context

Common diagnoses include Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, COPD, DKA, Sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, and post-op
Specialty equipment includes temp pacer, chest tubes, A lines, Bipap, and Neptune Vapo
Chronic vents are supported; RT assists with patients unable to wean
