Adult Respiratory Therapist

Overview

• Adult Respiratory Therapist assignment in Fargo, North Dakota.
• 13-week contract.
• Day/Night rotating schedule, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
• Rotating shifts, every other weekend, and holidays.
• May float to Broadway or South University campuses as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent respiratory therapy experience.
• Level 1 trauma experience.
• ICU experience.
• ND license required, or willingness to apply within 72 hours of acceptance.
• BLS (AHA).
• Experience working in a facility with 300+ beds.

Preferred Qualifications

• ER experience.
• RRT via NBRC preferred; CRT via NBRC considered.
• ACLS (AHA).
• PALS (AHA).
• Adult/NICU or Adult/PICU rotation experience.

Unit / Setting

• Large multi-campus respiratory therapy environment.
• Adult ICU, intermediate Adult ICU, ER, level IV NICU, Peds ICU, Peds, Family Birth Center, and OR/PACU are part of the broader campus setting.

Duties

• Respiratory therapy assessments and protocols.
• Arterial punctures and blood gas analysis.
• Ventilator and NIV therapy management.
• Medication delivery and airway clearance.
• Assist with intubations, bedside trach placement, bedside bronchoscopy, tracheostomy changes, decannulation, and extubations.
• Emergency response team support, ICU rounds, and patient intrahospital transport.

Orientation

• Lab orientation with RT education staff.
• Preceptor shifts with unit RTs.
