Emergency Department RN

Overview

• 13-week assignment
• Salem, Massachusetts
• 36 or 48 hours
• Day/evening/night rotation with every other weekend
• Free on-site parking
• 65-bed Emergency Department with a separate pediatric pod and separate Acute Mental Health area
• Patient ratio: 1:4
• Patient population: all
• Census: 230 visits/day
• Floating required to the ED Observation wing and AMU (ED Psych OBs)

Required Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Emergency Department experience within the last year
• Valid RN license in Massachusetts
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• PALS issued by American Heart Association
• General ED nursing skills including assessment, documentation, IV, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point of care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education
• License/certificate verification
• Resume including past 7 years of work experience
• 2 references within 4 years of submission, with at least 1 supervisor or above in the skillset
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission
