RN ER/Med-Surg

Overview

• Location: Canton, South Dakota
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day/Night rotation, every other weekend
• Hours: 36 hours/week, 12-hour shifts
• On-call: 5 shifts per 6-week schedule
• Response time: Must be able to respond to the facility within 40 minutes when called
• Unit/setting: Med-Surg and ED simultaneously
• Bed count: CAH licensed for 11 beds

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in MedSurg and ER or CAH
• Active SD or Compact RN license
• ACLS (AHA)
• BLS (AHA)
• TNCC
• 2+ years Critical Access or Small hospital float experience

Additional Details

• Local placements only within 80 miles
• Navy blue scrubs
• Must badge in and out at the facility
• EPIC chart training is required during site-specific orientation
• If the clinician has ever worked for Sanford Health, this must be noted in submission; prior employment there must have ended at least 6 months before submission
• May be called in for increased patient load/acuity, emergency/trauma situations, patient transfer needs, or sick calls without replacement
• ED response is shared among all staff equally to maintain competence and comfort in the ED setting
