Description

Med Surg Nights

Overview

Contract nursing role in Murphysboro, Illinois.
Medsurg unit with a blended patient mix that includes Swing Bed and occasional PCU-level patients.
Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM.
Schedule includes every other holiday and every other weekend.
No on-call.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Illinois
Med Surg (2 years of experience)
Med Surg experience within the last year
BLS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Unit Details

Medsurg ratios: 1:5.
Swing Bed ratios: 1:5-6.
PCU ratios: 1:3-4, based on whether the patient is on a drip.

Additional Notes

Supervisors support assignments for nurses whose background is only Medsurg.
The unit has an engaged team and several committees.
The facility is ANCC Pathways to Excellence designated.
