Endoscopy RN

Overview

• 40 hours, days
• Unit: Endoscopy – GI/ENDO RN
• 7 rooms, with holding and recovery rooms
• Open weekdays; on call for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• 60–70 procedures per day
• Free on-site parking

Schedule

• Shift: 7:15am to 3:45pm
• One rotating day may be 8:00am to 4:30pm or 7:00am to 5:30pm
• Rotating shifts required depending on hours; department is open 6:30am–5:30pm

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Massachusetts
• Endoscopy experience with at least 2 years of experience
• Endoscopy experience within the last year
• 2 years or more of total travel experience
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Familiarity with Olympus endoscopes
• Knowledge of endoscope reprocessing

Preferred Qualifications

• SGNA or CBSPD strongly preferred

Clinical Setting

• 4 MAC procedures
• 3 Conscious Sedation procedures
• Clinician-to-patient ratio: 1:1 in rooms; 1:2–3 in PACU
• Patient population: Diverse
• 18 PACU bays
• 8 procedural rooms
