Cath Lab Tech

Overview

Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Location: Springfield, Illinois
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Contract length: 26 weeks
Shift: Day, 3x12 hours, 6:30 AM–7:00 PM
First-timers accepted: Yes
Locals accepted: Yes, no radius
Float: Does not float within scope
On-call: Required as needed, rotating with staff and agency
Weekend requirement: 2–3 weekends per contract
RTO: Ideally no more than 5 days

Required Qualifications

Cath Lab Technologist with 1 year of experience
Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
ARRT or RCIS
Experience with intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) placement and removal
Experience with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)
Experience with percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA)
Experience with cardiac implant closure devices
Experience with cardiac stent placement
Experience with diagnostic catheterizations in adult patients
Experience with left heart catheterization
Experience with right heart catheterization
Experience with RotoPro atherectomy
Experience with interpretation of dysrhythmias
Experience with Cerner
