Description

SJMC - Cardiac Cath Tech

Overview

Role: Cardiac Cath Tech
Location: Bloomington, Illinois
Facility: 2 labs, 1 hybrid room, 6 bed recovery area
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 0700-1530
Hours: 36 per week

Required Qualifications

Cath Lab Technologist with 1 year of experience
Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
Recent experience with heart catheterization procedures
Recent experience with peripheral catheterization procedures
Must produce a negative drug screen for all panels

Preferred

Experience with Philips equipment
Experience with McKesson

Schedule / Call

On call 2-3 nights per week
On call every 3rd weekend
On call 2-3 holidays per year

Unit Details

2 labs
1 hybrid room
6 bed recovery area
About 5 cases per day
Common patient types include STEMI, NSTEMI, chest pain, stroke patients needing neuro-intervention, peripheral angios, line placement and drain placement, and loop recorders

Additional Notes

Typically does not float
Hospital scrubs provided
32 hours of unit orientation, which is 4 shifts
