Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Schedule

• Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
• 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
• Rotating weekends
• Rotating call
• No self-scheduling

Department Details

• Radiology - NUC MED
• 4 scanners/rooms
• Average 12-15 scans/studies per day
• Lead Tech
• In-house radiologist
• Department-specific orientation provided

Required Qualifications

• BLS
• ARRT or NMTCB certification
• WV State Licensure
• Experience in the specialty
• IV start skills
• EKG skills
• Unexpired driver’s license copy must be included with submission

Clinical Duties / Studies

• Cardiac
• HIDA
• Gastric emptying
• Lung scans
• Thyroid uptake
• Tilts
• Starts IVs

Equipment / Systems

• EMR: Meditech Expanse
• PACS: AGFA IMPAX
• 2 Siemens E-cam
• 2 Philips Brightview

Additional Notes

• Radiation badge must be provided by the traveler’s agency; the facility will not provide it
• Does not float to other areas
• Scrubs are not provided
• Dress code: black scrubs, no embroidery, no t-shirts, scrub jacket only if needed for warmth, no Crocs with holes or backs out
• Weekend coverage is by call every 4th weekend
• Call is one day a week when not on weekend call
