CT Tech

Overview

Diagnostic and Imaging Services role in Lexington, Kentucky.
13-week contract.
1st shift, 5x8s, 7a-3:30p Monday-Friday.
Call, weekends, and holidays are required.

Required Qualifications

Valid CT Technologist license in Kentucky.
CT Technologist experience within the last year.
3 years of CT Technologist experience.
BLS.
ARRT (CT).
ARRT (R).
Kentucky Radiation License.
Associate's degree in radiology or equivalent military training in radiology.
Mammography Technologist experience.

Role Details

Performs CT procedures, computer processing, and related techniques to produce images for interpretation by a licensed independent practitioner.
Verifies orders and patient identity/history.
Performs and documents peripheral venipuncture when necessary.
Documents patient-care incidents in the electronic health record.
Performs and documents time out procedures for invasive procedures.
Provides post processing for exams per department protocol.
Monitors patients throughout the exam.
Uses radiation protection and ALARA.
Adjusts exam protocols for pediatric patients in accordance with ACR Image Gently.
Assists radiologists and authorized providers with exams and procedures as needed.
