Behavioral Health RN

Overview

Role: Behavioral Health RN
Location: Soldotna, Alaska
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour days
Hours: 36 hours per week
Setting: Medical detoxification and residential programs
Local placements: Accepted

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Alaska
Psychiatric experience within the last year
2 years of psychiatric experience
BLS issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Nursing
1 year of Addiction Treatment experience

Role Summary

Responsible for implementing and supervising nursing services in the medical detoxification and residential programs.
Duties include administering medications and treatments, completing patient admissions and assessments, documenting patient observations, providing patient education, and maintaining safety and infection control practices.
