IMCU - 3S Intermediate Care RN

Location

Rockford, Illinois

Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule

12-hour night shifts: 7p-7:30a
36 hours per week
Weekend rotation based on unit needs
Every other holiday

Unit Details

IMCU - 3S Intermediate Care
23 beds
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:3-4
Charge nurse is on each shift and ideally does not take patients, but may when necessary
CNA support is used on the unit
Nurses interpret telemetry strips
Floating expected throughout the house except ER and OB

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Illinois
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Stepdown experience within the last year
1 year of stepdown experience
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS issued by American Heart Association
Experience with tracheostomy care
Experience with BiPAP
Experience with neuro checks
Experience with titratable drips
Experience with cardiac drips

Patient Population / Clinical Focus

Stroke
Cardiac
Sepsis
Surgical

Additional Notes

12 hours of non-billable orientation
Scrubs are not provided
Any color professional scrubs are allowed
No call or standby requirement
