RN Step Down
Overview
- Specialty: RN Step Down
- Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
- Employment type: LTA
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 07:00 - 19:30
- Schedule: Every other weekend; every other holiday
Role details
- Traveler may be placed on the unit with the greatest need, either PCU or Med/Surg/Tele.
- May need to float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Wisconsin
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
- Med Surg experience
- Telemetry experience
- Experience with Epic
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIH Certification
- Driver's License
- RN Step Down (PCU) specialty exam and skills must be completed
- Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
- Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start
- Ascension Skills Checklist completed within one year of start and updated annually
- Ascension Specialty Exam completed prior to first assignment and updated every 3 years
- Ascension Core Competencies completed within a year of start and updated every 3 years
- Ascension EKG Exam completed with a passing score of at least 80% and updated every 3 years
