RN Step Down
Overview
- Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
- Employment type: LTA
- Shift: 19:00 - 07:30
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Role details: RN Step Down (PCU); traveler may be placed on the unit with the greatest need, either PCU or Med/Surg/Tele, based on skills
- Float scope: May float onsite within skill set or to sites within 40 miles if needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Wisconsin
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 2 years of experience in PCU - Progressive Care Unit
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
- Med Surg experience
- Telemetry experience
- Experience with Epic
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIH Certification
- Driver's License
- Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
- License/Certificate Verification within 30 days prior to start
- Ascension Skills Checklist completed within one year of start and updated annually
- Ascension Specialty Exam completed prior to first assignment; minimum 80% passing score; only 2 attempts allowed
- Ascension Core Competencies completed within a year of start; minimum 80% passing score; only 2 attempts allowed
- Ascension EKG Exam completed with a passing score of at least 80%; only two attempts permitted
