*** Adult Psych RN Days/Eves/Nights\nRotate & EOW 36hrs. *** **\nFREE on-site Parking **Unit\nName: Epstein 4 Adult Psych.Brief\nUnit Description: 30-bed\nAdult Unit, ages 18-65 years. We treat patients with diverse types of mental\nhealth issues (anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, schizophrenia, bipolar\ndisorder, borderline personality disorder, and dual diagnosis patients: detox\nhere on the unit while treating mental health issues), and some medically acute\npatients (IVs, CPAPs, Wound Care, diabetic care).Years of Experience Required: 2\nyears minimum of inpatient adult psych experience.Skill\nSets Required: Proficient in using automatic medication\ndispensing system (Omni Cell); proficient in the use of psychotropic\nmedications and side effects. Able to assume the role of charge nurse; able to\ncomplete admissions and discharges. Competent in the use of IV pumps and care of\ndiabetic patients.Clinician to Patient Ratio: 1\nRN to 7 or 8 patients.Patient\nPopulation: Adult 18 to 65 years of age.Bed\nCount: 30.EMR\n(Charting System): EPIC.Floating\nRequired: Yes.Rotating\nShifts Required: Yes, for Day Rotate, (7a-7p, 11a-11p, 7p-7a). No\nmore than 2-3 shifts per time block and typically not for more than 1 or 2 time\nblocks (4 week blocks). Nights position does not rotate.Certifications\nRequired: Active Massachusetts RN License. AHA BLS.Additional\nInformation: AVADE training offered on-site as well as lead EKG\ntraining. Knowledge of the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health rules and\nregulations. Rights of inpatient requirements related to restraint and\nseclusion, legal statuses. Knowledge of laws pertaining to guardianship,\nhealthcare proxy (invoked vs confirmed) and court ordered Medication.
