We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a behavioral health setting. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct and indirect care to patients, ensuring their safety, therapeutic environment, and overall well-being.

Responsibilities

• Participate actively as a member of the healthcare team.
• Deliver direct and indirect patient care to individuals and their families.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic milieu grounded in core principles of care.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team in developing, implementing, and documenting patients’ treatment plans.
• Contribute to patient assessments and set achievable treatment goals based on individual strengths and presenting psychiatric issues.

Qualifications

• Education: RN license within the State of Massachusetts required; BSN preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of three years of adult, adolescent, and geriatric inpatient psychiatric experience required. Previous psychiatric or substance abuse inpatient experience preferred. CPR certification is mandatory.
• Skills:
  • Proficient in critical thinking for decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Advanced knowledge of behavioral health and substance abuse treatment modalities.
  • Ability to apply the nursing process within a Trauma-Informed Recovery model of care.
  • Capable of developing therapeutic relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Competent in using Electronic Medical Records with sufficient typing and computer skills.
  • Strong crisis management, time management, and delegation abilities.
  • Team-building skills and flexibility to adapt to changing or stressful situations.
