About the Position
We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Oncology/Infusion Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. This position entails working 5 days a week, with shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The RN will have the opportunity to float between two departments based on facility needs.
Responsibilities
- Administer and monitor chemotherapy treatments for pediatric oncology patients.
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the outpatient setting.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment protocols and supportive care.
- Maintain accurate patient records using EPIC charting.
Qualifications
- Active RN license in South Carolina or a Multi-State/Compact RN license.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
- Experience in monitoring and administering chemotherapy, pediatric oncology, and Medical-Surgical nursing.
- Certifications required: BLS, APHON, and PALS.
- First-time travelers are not accepted for this position.
Miscellaneous Information
- Must abide by a 60-mile radius rule; local candidates are accepted on a case-by-case basis.
- All scheduled time-off (RTO) must be communicated at the time of submission for approval.
- The facility reserves the right to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.
- Parking is available at a fee; a registration fee for a hang tag will allow the use of the designated garage.
- Compliance with required scrub color: solid royal blue or white tops with royal blue bottoms.
