Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with a specialty in Telemetry to join our fast-paced and high-volume unit. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including experience in handling multiple and complex diagnoses. First-time travelers are welcomed to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Telemetry setting, adhering to established standards and protocols.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, particularly in the adult to geriatric patient age range.
• Manage a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5, potentially increasing to 6 for patients with lower acuity.
• Float to other care areas of equal or lower acuity as needed, based on patient census.
• Utilize EPIC for electronic medical records and charting.
• Adhere to the required dress code of royal blue scrubs.

Shift Details

• Available shifts: 3x12 or 4x12 hours, nights (19:00-07:30).
• Every other weekend work is required, along with holiday shifts as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of Maryland.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIH), and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certifications are mandatory.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in a telemetry environment preferred.

Additional Information

All requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of the job offer. Please note that RTO will not be accepted during fall and winter holiday weeks.
