Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse with experience in managing a diverse patient population. The ideal candidate will possess the skills to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and provide high-quality care to patients of all ages, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.

Unit Specifics

• Common patient diagnoses include Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, Myocardial Infarction, Cardiac Arrest, and Respiratory Failure.
• Specialty equipment utilized includes Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
• The Emergency Department consists of 64 beds, including 2 Triage, 40 acute, 6 super track, 2 Trauma, 10 Clinical Decision Unit (CDU), and 6 psychiatric beds.

Shift Information

The scheduled shift for this position is from 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM. Please note that block scheduling is not guaranteed, and floating to different areas within the department may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department with some pediatric experience.
• Current and active RN license in New York along with all other RN licenses.
• Required certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (TNCC must be in hand).
• Experience with electronic medical records, specifically EPIC, is required.
• Skills checklist that matches the specialty must be completed and submitted.

Additional Requirements

Documentation of travel experience is necessary. Candidates must also provide a driver's license with an address that matches their demographic information.

Preferred Qualifications

• Charge capability is highly preferred.
