We are seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist with a strong background in long-term care to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and assessment skills, allowing them to effectively work with patients, medical staff, and house staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments to evaluate and diagnose speech and language disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Guide patients towards achieving their potential through targeted therapy.
• Collaborate with medical staff to optimize patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using EMR software.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited college/university with a degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• Current New York State license as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Eligibility for or possession of the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).
• Prior experience in a long-term care setting is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Epic/EMR software.
• Understanding of PDPM reimbursement system.

Schedule

The position will operate on a schedule from 7 AM to 3:30 PM.
