We are seeking a qualified Inpatient Dietitian to join our team. This position involves planning, developing, and delivering dietary interventions and medical nutrition therapy across various patient care settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide medical nutrition therapy and monitor the nutritional care of clients/patients/residents across all age groups.
• Conduct nutritional assessments and develop individualized care plans based on provider orders and recommendations.
• Implement nutrition therapy, which includes diet modification, nutrition support, and oral nutrition supplements.
• Deliver education and counseling to manage diseases and nutrition risks effectively.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of treatments or procedures using an evidence-based approach.
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to implement nutrition care protocols.
• Educate clients on dietary practices tailored to specific disease states and health risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics or Food and Nutrition from an ACEND accredited program. (Please note: As of January 1, 2024, a master’s degree will be required to take the registration exam.)
• At least 2 years of clinical nutrition experience through an approved coordinated undergraduate program or completion of a postgraduate internship.
• Current Registered Dietitian (RD) license in the state of practice, recognized by CDR.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred, but not mandatory.
• Ability to recognize and cater to the nutritional needs of clients based on cultural, ethnic, and religious beliefs.

Work Schedule

This position typically operates Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, with flexible scheduling options available.
