Shift Details
This position requires the following shift schedule:
- Evening/Night shift
- 3 shifts per week (12 hours each)
- Hours: 1900 - 0730
Qualifications
- Valid Washington State or Compact RN Licensure.
- Active certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC.
- Adherence to nursing practices in line with the Washington Nurse Practice Act.
- Ability to float as a sitter and participate in rotation as needed.
Job Functions
The ICU Registered Nurse is responsible for:
- Coordinating and delivering high-quality patient care, showcasing compassion and professionalism.
- Developing, implementing, and continually reassessing individualized patient care plans.
- Administering medications and performing necessary nursing procedures and treatments.
- Ongoing evaluation of discharge plans, ensuring appropriateness and addressing educational needs.
- Documenting care provided, including assessments, plans, interventions, and patient responses accurately.
- Collecting essential patient information to ensure safe and effective care.
- Conducting holistic assessments of patients' statuses and responding to changes appropriately.
- Implementing nursing actions to meet the physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs of patients.
- Providing timely health education to patients and their families, along with written materials.
- Maintaining current knowledge of workflows, processes, and evidence-based practices.
- Delegating tasks to non-licensed assistive personnel and overseeing their care delivery.
- Participating in performance evaluation and improvement activities with management.
- Collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients and staff in accordance with policies.
