We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our dynamic team. Under general supervision and following established procedures, you will operate CT equipment to acquire diagnostic images for physicians to use in the diagnosis and treatment of various pathologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment to obtain diagnostic images in accordance with departmental protocols.
• Ensure patients are prepared, positioned, and immobilized correctly; utilize protective shielding as necessary.
• Select appropriate imaging factors and image designated portions of the body.
• Explain examination processes to patients, considering their physical and emotional needs while maintaining ethical standards.
• Maintain effective communication and professional relationships with departmental and other hospital personnel.
• Calibrate and verify the operation of all equipment used daily, notifying appropriate personnel of any malfunctions.
• Perform necessary paperwork and manage Radiology Information System functions for each patient exam.
• Administer venipuncture for contrast administration under the direction of a radiologist, following all relevant policies and procedures.
• Participate in staff meetings, in-services, and continuing education to meet Massachusetts state licensure and A.R.R.T. requirements.
• Provide oversight and instruction to various personnel and students within the department.
• Prepare the equipment room and ensure necessary supplies are stocked for patient use and daily operations.
• Engage in research programs and quality assurance initiatives to enhance departmental operations.
• Demonstrate flexibility in shift coverage and overtime when necessary.
• Transport and transfer patients using established departmental protocols.
• Apply independent judgment and initiative when performing patient exams under pressure.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Possess a current Massachusetts State Radiologic and CT Technologist license.
• Registered in CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, with at least one year in CT preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients in various emotional and physical states.
• Analytical abilities to acquire and utilize knowledge of imaging processes, techniques, and cross-sectional anatomy.
