Description
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality patient care in a compassionate environment. The position requires a commitment to adhering to established nursing standards and practices.
Shift Details
- Evening/Night Shift
- 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
- Scheduled from 1900 to 0730
Qualifications
- Active RN Licensure in Washington State or a Compact License
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC
- Ability to float and serve as a sitter as required
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver high-quality patient care using the nursing process and unit-specific standards.
- Develop, implement, and continuously reassess personalized care plans for patients.
- Administer medications and perform nursing procedures or treatments as required.
- Evaluate discharge plans for their appropriateness and address educational needs as necessary.
- Document all care provided, including assessments, plans of care, interventions, and patient responses accurately.
- Collect comprehensive patient information to ensure safe and effective care delivery.
- Conduct holistic assessments of patients' status and respond accordingly.
- Implement appropriate nursing actions to meet physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs.
- Provide timely health education to patients and families, sharing written informational materials as needed.
- Maintain current knowledge of workflows, processes, and evidence-based practices.
- Delegate tasks appropriately and supervise care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel.
- Engage in performance evaluation and improvement activities with the leadership team.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with all members of the healthcare team.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff in accordance with policies.
