Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Telemetry unit. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care and telemetry monitoring for patients with cardiovascular conditions, focusing on heart failure management and inpatient care.
Shift Details
- 3x12 Hour Shifts from 07:00 - 19:30
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend, subject to change based on unit needs
- Floating to other units may be required as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide quality nursing care to patients in a 32-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit.
- Perform continuous EKG monitoring and oxygen saturation monitoring.
- Administer intravenous and oral medications for cardiac conditions and arrhythmias.
- Prepare and send patients for cardiac interventions, surgeries, diagnostic tests, and procedures.
- Deliver holistic care to meet the physical, emotional, psychological, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina.
- 2 years of nursing experience in the specialty is required.
- 3 years of nursing experience required for first-time travelers.
- 1 year of experience with EPIC electronic health record system is mandatory.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
Patient Population
The Cardiac Telemetry unit provides 24-hour care for patients with various cardiovascular conditions. Emphasis is placed on heart failure patients, facilitating their care from admission through to post-hospitalization services.
