Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Critical Care to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Information

• 12-hour Night Shifts
• 36 or 48 hours per week
• Will float to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) as needed
• Weekend and Holiday shifts may be required

Orientation and Training

New hires will undergo an 8-hour non-billable orientation to ensure a smooth transition into the role.

Unit Information

• Unit Size: 20 beds
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Dress Code: Personal scrubs of any color

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients.
• Monitor patient conditions, including ventilation, ICP, and hemodynamic parameters.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Float to the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) as necessary.

Qualifications

• 2 years of current Critical Care experience is required.
• Willingness to float to PCU is mandatory.
• Experience with Ventilation, ICP Monitoring, and Hemodynamic Monitoring is essential.
• Strongly preferred: Meditech Expanse experience.
• Preferred: Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Must have a valid Massachusetts RN license.
• Active certifications: BLS, ACLS from American Heart Association, and NIHSS.
• Must have a personal vehicle for transportation.

Important Notes

• Requested time off must be noted and approved at the time of profile submission.
• Travelers cannot take all holidays off and must be available during peak holiday periods.
• Block scheduling is not accommodated for this position.
