Job Description

American Traveler seeks an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery (LDRP) unit position requiring BLS and NRP certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a combined Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery (LDRP) unit
• Unit consists of 8 labor rooms, 12 postpartum rooms, and 4 special care nursery beds
• Handles approximately 700 deliveries annually
• Collaborative care team includes OB/GYNs, laborists, midwives, and respiratory therapists available 24/7
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
• Provide nursing care for labor, delivery, postpartum, and special care nursery patients
• Team-based environment with round-the-clock support from physicians and allied health
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required
• All travelers are considered auto offer for assignment
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate in accordance with state radius rules
• Applicants may apply to only one position system-wide at a time

Requirements

• Active RN license required and must be verified through Nursys within 30 days prior to start
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Current NRP certification from AHA/American Academy of Pediatrics required
• Fetal monitoring certification such as AWHONN, Relias, or other program within past 2 years if not covered on competency exam
• Minimum of 2 years of labor & delivery RN experience
• Must provide US Social Security Number and a US home address
